Take a part of the William Paca Garden home with you! Its not just a slogan. This year we showcase a special opportunity. Healthy two gallon size boxwoods propagated from the plants in the William Paca Garden are available at the Paca Garden Plant Sale. This evergreen, slow-growing shrub says colonial elegance. Boxwoods are the good bones of the garden, making it a showplace no matter what the season.
Also available, over 300 varieties of perennials, annuals, vegetables and herbs, trees and shrubs, both heirloom and cutting-edge, native and exotic, raised by Paca Garden volunteers. Woodland wildflowers include trillium, phlox, foamflower, Solomons seal and more. For the sunny garden, wild indigo, coneflower, lobelia, and more. Special collections of plants will make a butterfly garden, a fragrant garden, a childrens garden or a pizza garden of tomatoes and herbs. Annuals for containers and flower beds, herbs and vegetable starts, including heirloom tomatoes. Woody plants include several varieties of hydrangeas, red buckeye, and winter jasmine. Favorite vines include purple hyacinth bean, moonflower, snail vine and unusual Japanese morning glories.
Garden staff and volunteers are on hand to answer questions and give garden advice. An informative catalog is available May 1 online at www.annapolis.org or at the Museum Store at 99 Main St. Proceeds go to support the William Paca Garden and its programs.
