Just wanted to share some thoughts with you all that I've had since our last meeting. Firstly, I feel the opportunities available to us here with the Eco-park and the gallery are huge and something well worth working hard for. I realise that for some, making a commitment (especially a financial one) may seem daunting and a bit of a risk. Well, it is. But for me it's a risk well worth taking. I believe you have to take chances if you want to succeed with things in life. I'm not someone with pots of money or experience of promoting art, but for me the opportunities far outweigh any inhibitions or doubts I may have. Secondly, I've been doing my art on my own until I joined this gallery. Until the last two meetings, I had no real connection with any of you. I liked some people's work but that was it. I don't feel like that anymore. I now feel I am amongst people who are like me, where I might get to share how I see things and create thins with others. I feel like I'm part of something. That for me is exciting! I hope you all decide to stay with this as I feel it could be amazing. I know that amongst any group of people (even more so, ones with the artistic temperament!) there will always be differences of opinion. It is my hope that these differences will come secondary to the shared similarity that we all have of being part of this group. It's nice to know you have the support of others in being yourself.
