Interesting Quotes - Part 2
I was getting fed up of having to navigate to a second page, so I've started a new thread. If I had a pound everytime a self employed person told me this............. Once you decide to work for yourself, you never go back to work for somebody else - Alan Sugar |

LOL - lets hope that day never comes. i still think the best one so far is 'Don't tell 'em Pike'. I often think of that and giggle - I just conjour up the whole scene with a stern Capt Manwairing, stiff lipped

i think it'd be nice to have a substantial win to share with friends & family, kit them out with new cars, pay off mortgages, have a huge family holiday. wouldn't it be nice to buy a large villa with pool somewhere hot, greece, turkey perhaps. then when we have awful weather like this you could just book a flight and enjoy some sun on the continent.

Not so much a quote - more a brilliant response. My daughter and her friend went into the co-op to buy some bits. When they got to the checkout and were asked if she had a share number, she sang 'If I could turn back time'...... |

I'd have liked to have been there then.... I'd'ave popped up with mums old number 2040! We wuz supposed to be getting curtains today but the ready made ones didn't suit madam's taste so we elected for me to make them from betterer material. (T'is much cheapo (and blinkin' sight easier to have ready mades) "The invisible thread is upstairs" said the lady assistant so orf't I trotted upstairs inna-lift. I asked a lady up there to help because I cudn't find it. She said "we cant see it cuz it's invisible innit" Boom Boom! jim |

The curtains are all finished and I'm relaxing with a glass and a half, but not of milk I have another pair to make for the opposite window in the dining room but they will have to wait until the material arrives ... ordered from the same company but on the internet. They didn't have enough in the shop on friday. That has taken yesterday afternoon and most of today. Must get to some painting soon jim |

I've only just found this.....but it's actually really apt right at this moment. This was the last entry I made on Sues News December 2007, the final words of the year: To quote T S Eliot; 'For last year's words belong to last year's language, and next year's words await another voice, and to make an end is to make a beginning.' I'm quite glad I stumbled upon those words of wisdom again |
