Thanks for that Jerry. I have this painting drying in my dining room, propped up on a radiator. An old work buddy was round for supper this evening and as she entered the dining room she stood in front of it and said 'WOW'. Which is nice to hear. Sometimes it's hard to know if a particular painting will hit the spot with students. I'll take it along to my next class and see what the reaction is. I'm finding that the addition of something simple, like birds, or a small building, can really help a composition.
