Alumna gives kudos and encouragement

Hello WVWC Campus Crusade.
I hope you're all doing well!
I've been so astounded and in wonder at the way God has moved on our campus in the last couple of years. I have heard so many good and amazing steps forward in what is truly a crusade to win souls.

I graduated from Wesleyan 2 1/2 years ago (I know I'm old - I can't believe it). As a Wesleyan student, I participated in IV Christian fellowship as a worship and small group leader, which truly enriched my life. I remember Dayna Keller when she was a freshman and gave us a few private concerts of her original work. Dayna, if you're reading this, I'm praying for you and I know God is going to work wonders in your life. Keep your heart for Him.

Since graduation, the Lord has humbled me through some heartbreaks and difficult experiences. Post-graduation is always a confusing time -- it doesn't matter whether you go right into that dream job or find yourself hanging out on campus on a regular basis; it's still a world-shaking period.

As a Christian who came to Christ at sixteen, college was a time of growing exponentially in the Lord and serving Him and seeing His hand at work. God really engrained in me a LOT of foundational truth through the ministry of a local church, The Way of Holiness, and through campus ministries.
I thought this truth was for the benefit of my learning so I could teach others, but it was actually for the building of a strong foundation which would stand the test of storms to come.

Perhaps it's very logical, when we're saved, working in ministry, surrounded by the Body of Christ, and growing in our commitment to the Lord, to look outside the body and say, "If only that person would come to Christ, he or she wouldn't be suffering with this." However, I see how strongly deception can veil the truth of God in the mundane, ordinary course of life most people walk, making the Gospel seem so irrelevant.

People spend their lives looking for more power, prestige, love, and money. What would make them think about the salvation of the soul? Why is salvation so important? And this is the question we answer with our lives -- in the valley of the shadow of death, where they dwell.
I believe it's the word come to life in us through these circumstances -- that "the light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not comprehend it."

To the graduates, stick closely to the Lord. Remember, as Paul said, the first things, and when you feel removed from fellowship, from the life of ministry, do the first things: believe and pray. There will be times when God will seem to have removed His presence; maybe you'll be on a shelf or obscure for a few years, but as Lamentations 3:25-26 says, "The Lord is good to those who wait for Him, to the soul who seeks Him. It is good that one should hope and wait quietly for the salvation of the Lord."

God is faithful.

God bless everyone.
I hope this has been an encouragement to you.
If you would like to contact me to see what's up, just shoot me an email. I will be glad to contact you.
