A couple years ago I was having some problems w/ pain and numbing in my feet. After a battery of tests I found out I have a positive anti nuclear antibodies called an ANA or it 's an ANA test. A year earlier I found out I had HepC. My internist didn't think there was a connection and thought that my liver was causing my severe neuropathy.
After a true 80 plus hours researching on line my own diagnosis is I have, "Autoimmune Hepatitis C". On August 31st I have an appointment w/ a gastro Dr. - that's if my insurance holds out, and we should come out w/ a conclusion then.
It's been a nightmare a double whammy!! I haven't met anyone w/ this on all the sites I've been to, yet. I believe in my case the autoimmune is worse than the HepC. Maybe I'm wrong and will only know in a biopsy.
