It is way too late for your canvas and you however in case anyone else reads wondering what to do.
In counted cross stitch, you have nothing on the canvas. You create the picture as you sew by the threads. That is why it is counted cross stitch. You have to count each thread and place the required colored thread in the required number on the material you are using.
It might be much easier if you seek out printed designs already on the material to start until you get use to the stitching then attempted the counted versions or buy a simple easy pattern with not many colors and not much detail to learn counted. |
