Message:   Been using a cup of baking soda in wash for diapers, towels, and gym gear, along with vinegar in the rinse, for some time now. This was a tip I found on an infant cloth diaper site some time back, which explained that the baking soda neutralizes the odors and acid/amonia of the urine, perspiration, etc., and then the vinegar restores ph balance. I use about a quarter cup of white vinegar in the final rinse. . . seems to work pretty well.
