Hi,
I suffer from Spina Bifida and have used Urihexal and Ethipramine for a child to control my bladder. And I've never had major problems except for the occassional accident here and there and infections whch are normally sorted out with meds.
But for the last 2 years or so I've been experiencing major problems. This is what I experience. One, if I don't drink anything, my bladder seems to fill in less than an hour. Two, if I drink something, as soon as something seems to enter my bladder, I start leaking. And when I go to the loo, very little comes out.
Also, I have incredible urges to urinate. This phenomonon lasts for several weeks, or sometimes months. And then all of a sudden, these symptoms disappear as quickly as it comes.
I see a urologist once a year where I get an U/S. He says my bladder and kidneys are fine. Tests show no significant infection. Also, I was sent for a test where iodine dye is pumped into my bladder and X-Rays taken. My urologist said my bladder looks good and sees no point in operating on it. However, when I complain of this problem, he threatens to operate.
I'm considering changing urologists for better answers.
I know this is a long message, but can anyone here help?
Thanks. |
