Your situation sounds a lot like mine, with some few variations. You indicated that you have Spina Bifida, which ought to raise the red flag of neurogenic bladder, and wave it furiously. Neurogenic bladder covers a long list of urinary difficulties, so you need to contact a urologist who is competent to deal with them, which your current doctor seems unwilling or unable to.
