Spina bifida guy here too. Has your urologist examined your prostate? Some of the symptoms you describe could related to prostate problems. I don't how old you are but if you're over 40, this could be the problem.
Also, I've been wedded to the hip with urologists since I was a young man and in a nutshell, I don't hold them in very high regard. I burned through virtually every specialist in my area (all major a**holes in my opinion)to find a good one. Good luck.
