my two year old goes too fast
Hi, My two year old setter just does not hunt with stealth...he's like a bull in a china closet, and I want him to carefully hunt grouse....quietly and effectively...he has to be outrunning his nose. Plus I have to constantly turn him with the collar to keep him in a reasonable range. People say he's still a pup...he'll slow down...do I have to wait for that to happen , or can I condition him to hunt more cautiously, and carefully. I'm a patient amatuer, but I'm afraid that if I just continue doing ( I take him to local woods, with some birds...not a ton, but around here, grouse aren't real plentiful) the same process, I'll not get the desired results... what do you think?
