World Cup Number 1???
Allo how you all doing? sorry if this is in the wrong place but... My name is Paul Short Aka Farmer John UK Air Guitar Champion 2004 Aka Doozer (to most of my friends) Ive given myself a goal of trying to get a Number 1 with my song "Oh England" in my band Deferred Sucess but its gotta be at the time of the world cup. Im stupid enough to believe that if I talk about it enough its gonna happen, so Im asking for your help. Ive got the video of the song on myspace www.myspace.com/deferredsucess Not sure doing what, I have no money/clue to promote such a thing, but I thought If I started now then, I could sort something out. Maybe.. At the mo Ive sent "oh england" off to Virgin Radio for Christian O'Connel in for he's People's Athnem for the world cup. Have a listen to the song and if you like please let these guys know http://www.virginradio.co.uk/djsshows/show.../contactus.html Also could you email the sun to. biz@the-sun.co.uk , and tell them its a great song and you love it (if you do like the song that it). I sent them "oh England" as well. Not sure they're gonna like the tabloid press bit of the song, then didnt reply to me. But none the less be wkd if you could hassel them for us. There's a couple of reasons why I wanna get this song to number one: 1) I think most people wont listen to all the words and just shout England at the end, (the song has the line - "oh england what does it mean, Im sure is more than some sodding football team") and that would make me laugh. 2)I wrote this song five years ago, and the same **** is still going on, we're still made to feel bad for being English. Our culture is being pushed aside, watered down and turned into Pop Idol... You see people getting told off for waving the English flag in their own country, as it is seen it might up set other cultures. This is mental. Unfortunally the people who stick up for their country, most as *******s, and the average jo, who doesnt want to conected with such hatred, so chucks the lot in the bin. We're not a proud race anymore, we take everything that they through at us, Petrol prices rising, Stupid house prices so no one who works on a average job, cant efford to live on anything else but the breadline. It sucks! This isnt a colour thing, this is the culture of freedom, that our grand parents, and people before died for. For us to live a good life. ("Im up for anyone who wants to come here and stay, but why cant we celebrate Saint Georges day") 3)I wanna have a number 1 and be a rock star... Sorry for the rant, but its been bugging me for ages, I wonder how many people get the wrong idea about whats the songs about. And Im sorry to all those from across the sea this might not apply to you, but we're leaving in a very scary time, Im really worried its all gonna go to pot soon.
