Australia

2 weeks ago Keiran, Pla and myself were practicing darts in the Moonshine Bar before heading off to our venues for the Tuesday darts night. A gentleman entered the bar and introduced himself by the name of Andrew and said he came in specialy because he'd seen our web site in his home city of Sydney. As the story goes, he was on holiday for 10 days and plays in a team and they have 5 divisions; I think he said he plays in the 3rd division of his league. He started to practice with us and agreed to play in my team, because I wasn't sure if we could make up a team for the night. It worked out well and he blended in like he was a natural to the Bangkok scene.
He said he checks out our site and reads up on all the info. I assume that he reads the forum also. So,
I'd like to thank him for being a good sport and a great guy.
Andrew, if you do read this, you are welcome back anytime into our darts league.
Thank you.

Re: Australia

Andrew - The wise Yorkshire words of our own Kenny-The-Dart speak well - KTD wise words? Well maybe his trademark necktie was a bit too tight. Anyhow Andrew we at the Silver Dollar Bar also enjoyed your company for some darts and a few brews a night later. Would mention those who were also there but am typing as I now return from some darts - under the influence - of course.

In my current drunken stupor - a thought accrues to me - if our own Kenny has such a proud title as "Kenny The Dart" why does Jayke not have one? What would it be?

"Jayke the ...." or "Jayke the ...."

Maybe best if I leave this question to Gayle - remember Gayle our Silver Dollar team faces off against your team tomorrow - hmm - looking at the clock - later today. "Jayke the ..." assured me earlier that he would surely be there for this one. - - Johnny

Re: Australia

Just realised- as you know am moving rooms today, my darts are now half way to Buriram. Clever thinking on that one. Not that I would need them to beat Gayle

Three of those umbrella cocktail sticks sharpened at the end would do the trick. Might even open one eye for the odd chuck

Re: Australia

G'Day guys,

What a surprise - I haven't been on here for a while and then saw this. Great fun there playing darts I'm trying to convince the fellas to come over next trip- I let them know about some of the tourist sights in Thailand with very little response however when I said that you have a very good dart scene the interest became quite intent.

Kenny and Pla - Fur ball job look like they are going well keep it up. I will keep an eye out on this site to see you as 2008 champs. Go Fur ball job!!

Thank you to all the great people in Bangkok that I got to meet and play darts with.

Hope to be back soon.

Re: Australia

Yes, Andrew, welcome to the forum. It was a pleasure meeting you and spending the evening playing darts. Like KaptainK wrote, If you could get your friends to come over we can set up a night or 2 of challenges on the dart board.
Your friends will not be disapointed, as you can second me on that after your holiday here and experiencing the sights and sounds for yourself.
See you on your next trip over here.
From Kenny and the Fur Ball Job.

Re: Australia

No disrespect intended for any player or team Harry. I know some teams are on a long running streak of loses. My comment was tongue in cheek for Andrew over his thread earlier about Fur Ball job being champions and hopefully getting him back on the forum.

The Moon Platoon have just ended a run of 14 loses and I was proud to be present to witness their first win of the season.

Re: Australia

What has happened there???? I would be happy to take a dip and swim over but the walk to the west coast would kill me. Come on Fur Ball Job!!! Hang in there. By the way my team didn't even make the finals.

Re: Australia

Hey Andrew - Great to see you back on the forum and look forward to seeing you back over here. You say "the walk to the west coast would kill me" not a problem Kenny can help you there. Just between you and I - Kenny's been entertaining a lovely young lass on a regular basis and now seen less at the oche. Being mindful about looking more youthful - Kenny's taken to the jogging track. Now that made the newspapers - not because he's such a skilful runner but because he was the only jogger in the park seen running in new trainers, jogging shorts and shirt and tie with darts in pocket. We plan to have Kenny's "darts player get youthful training program" published soon in the newsletter. But until then - I'm sure Kenny wouldn't mind sharing a few secrets to his "younger looking Yorkshireman attracting the babes and get-in-shape program".

Re: Australia

Hi Andrew. Great to see you back on the forum. Don't take any heed to the ramblings of OLD Johnny. The only execise I do these days is at the oche and behind closed doors, enough said.
You didn't reach the finals, next time whup ass ok.
Do you have a web site that you could post, so us darters over here could check out and maybe get intouch with some of the darters in your neck of the woods.
Looking forward to your next trip Andrew. Theres always room on the team for you.
Drink heartily and aim true
