Darts Quiz Question #10
Sir Francis Drake was playing darts when word came of the sighting of the invading Spanish Armada. What number did he have to quickly hit to finish the game, so he could rush off to sea to repel the invaders ? |

There has to be a trick question in every quiz, and for this quiz, this was it. Legend has it that Sir Francis Drake was playing LAWN BOWLS, not darts, when word came of the sighting of the Spanish Armada. He insisted on finishing the game before sailing, but the result of the game is unrecorded (unless CW can recall it). A good attempt - as history is written by the victor, I would have given a half point for an answer of a perfect 170 finish. |

Is impossible to say Some stories say he was playing 'Ker-plunk'- others 'Hungry Hippos' Where exactly was he playing lawn bowls and spootted the Armada??? Doesn't make sense |
