The heaviest and lightest darts that I know of thrown in the league in Thailand, are (1)Heaviest Oi (Alhoa Bar)30 grams.(2)Lightest Khun Phun (Other Office)14 grams.I know this is not the answer to the question but more a general point,if anyone knows different please come back

ANSWER: The maximum allowable weight of a dart is 50 grams (although I have also seen mention of 52 grams) As we now know, the biggest dart can be 12 inches long, which is about three times the normal length, yet it can only weigh 50 grams, which is only around double the norm – so a big dart is actually much lighter for its size than a normal one. Absolutely meaningless but as we also now know, the average dart travels at a speed of 40mph – so I wouldn’t want to walk in the path of this puppy ! (or a 32 gram dart for that matter !) Does anyone know what the most popular or common weight for a dart is ? (This isn't a quiz question - I'm just curious) I'm guessing 21 grams. |

I'd guess the most popular weight is actually 23-24 grams, but who knows? Maybe Unicorn will tel me which weight they sell the most of... I'll ask. I do sleep, but I also do a fair amount of business in Asia so I am in my office usually by 2-3 am EST so I don't lose a day. |

Good to see,I worked out that most throwers use between 20 and 30grams,people dont tend to like odd numbers(I throw a 25gram though)so when they start the choice is either 24 or 26 grams, for some reason 24 seems more middle than 26 so they buy them, and then due to the expence of replacing darts, and they like to stick with what they know stick with 24gram
