Erie Waters Bass Anglers Association

The Erie Waters Bass Anglers Association (EWBAA) is preparing for its second season. EWBAA was founded in 2007 by a group of 21 Western New York bass anglers and fishes a 17-week season on Lake Erie's eastern basin and the Upper Niagara River on Thursday evenings from 5-9 PM beginning in the second Thursday in May and ending in late August. One fish is entered per week (longest legal catch) and there is a 10-fish entry minimum to be considered for angler-of-the-year awards. 100% of member dues ($100 per member) are paid out in weekly and end-of-season awards.

EWBAA's 2008 organizational meeting will be held at Southgate Lanes, 50 Michael Road in West Seneca, just off of Orchard Park Road, on Thursday, May 1st, from 7:00-8:00 PM. 2008 rules will be handed out and discussed and dues collected. New boater AND non-boater members are welcome.

For more information regarding the club, call or email Roy Mura at 570-5338 or royamura@gmail.com or go to http://ewbaa.com. Club rules from 2007 can be viewed here.

Re: Erie Waters Bass Anglers Association

I've added and updated a links page to EWBAA's website. Check it out, especially the water/weather conditions and fishing maps/info sections at EWBAA Links and let me know if you have any favorite angler-useful sites that aren't linked there.

Re: Erie Waters Bass Anglers Association

Revised rules for the 2008 season have been posted to EWBAA's website and are now available here. Major changes include: measure and digitally photograph for entire season; dead fish penalty removed (since all fish will be photographed and not kept); two artifical-only weeks; no anchoring rule added. Organizational meeting is May 1st.
