LOC Fishing Derby starts May 2 - $30,000.00 in CASH prizes
The 2008 Spring LOC derby runs from May 2 to May 11 with $30,000.00 in cash prizes, $10,000.00 in merchandise and $12,500.00 for the largest fish eneterd in the derby. No walleye category this year. YOUNGSTOWN WILL HAVE A LOC WEIGH STATION THIS YEAR WITH MIKE GEORGE IN CHARGE AND OTHER VOLUNTEERS. IT WILL BE LOCATED NEXT TO THE JUST RENOVATED VILLAGE BOAT LAUNCH......Be sure to thank the weigh station volunteers for their efforts otherwise you would be fishing at the "bar" or the drop off near Fort Niagara and travelling to Wilson or Olcott to check in with your fish.
