Wilson Harbor-Lake-Creek fishing report update April 18

This report is a Friday afternoon April 18

There are a lot of fisherman and women out today. The East pier in Wilson is loaded with fisherpersons and they are catching some nice perch. The breakwall is also producing some perch but things are on the slow side. The water is still murky and is steadily cleaning up. The water off the East pier, on the east side is crystal clear. Clear water usually makes the perch bite better. A few bullheads are being caught off the breakwall.

No word on any trout. There are three boats on the lake trolling back and forth off the piers.

12 mile creek West branch has some fishermen, but the activity is slow. Even the people using leeches are not doing too well.

There were two guys on the 425 pier but they were not doing to good. There were a lot of minnows around the pier and that could have something to do with the activity. The water there is crystal clear too.

There are also a lot of minnows in the harbor at the breakwall. You cannot see them but they are in the muddy water everywhere..
