LOC Derby Leaders as of May 2 - Big fish so far 21.07# King

LOC Derby Leaders as of Friday evening, May 2, end of opening day:

Salmon Division:
Grand Prize leader: 21.07# Shaun Curry from Rochester NY & weighin in at the Youngstown Marina.

Next salmon entered is 21.05 by Bill Farrington, Auburn NY, weighed at Screwey Louie's.

20.12 salmon enterd by Mykola Kompanijec, Webester NY weighed at Wilson Boat Yard.

Lake Trout Division:
15.04 Bobby Lorentz, Rochester NY weighed at Wilson Boatyard

11.08 Geoff Bump, Columbus Ohio, weighed in at Slippery Sinker, Wilson NY

There were no other entries. Weather was bad. Cloudy, fog, rain, cold & rough waters. This weekend should change all that. [Hopefully]

SPECIAL NOTE: The marina in Youngstown is now open and is hosting the weigh station. Now is a good time to check the marina out. New owners, and the place is completely remodeled, sparkling and ready to go. They are already pumping gasoline! There MIGHT be slips open for summer rental. Captain Doug Stein keeps his boat there for spring & summer charters. I don't know who else yet but right now the slips are full of transients for the derby.

Stop by the marina anytime and check it out. Mike George is the official Youngstown weighmaster. Bill Hilts Jr. and I am assisting wherever we can. Stop by and say hello.
