FREE vessel inspections ~
Saturday May 17th from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm the U.S. Coast Guard Station in Youngstown is hosting an “Eastern Great Lakes Water Safety Expo” at the Youngstown station. FREE and open to the public. Bring your boat/vessel and get a FREE U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary safety inspection. This is a FREE inspection and no worries. If your vessel won’t pass Auxilary inspection, suggestions will be given to you so you can correct any problems before you really have problems. They will offer this FREE service either on land or in the water and if you pass you will get a decal to display on your boat certifying you were inspected this year. The Coast Guard is inviting the general public to join them and you will learn what our hard working young men & women of the Coast Guard do. Really nice to have them around especially when you need them and just to know they are there when needed. Nice weather was ordered for that day but maybe you just might want to bring a sweater for that day, being next to the water can be quite cool this time of year.
