Hi Dave,
This is what is also known as a circular needle - two short needles (5mm in this case although any make will do -don't have to be aero) joined by a plastic cord or wire.They come in various lengths and the 100cm length would be the one your wife needs. This is to accommodate the large number of stitches needed per row for a shawl. Sometimes you can squeeze them onto a straight pair of needles but there is more chance of them slipping off.Not a pleasant sight! Any more queries please get back to me. |
