Message:   Never owned a Saturn but stand 100% behind Seaeagle have owned only the 12.6 but have had a 99 and an 07 models).

A guy in my fishing club owns a Saturn (12') and have had the opportunity to take a ride on it and still like better my Seaeagle (12.6'). The Saturn would lift from the front terribly (it also had a 25hp whereas my Seaeagle has a 15hp)and would take some time to go down, that made it very uncomfortable to ride and somewhat dangerous. He solved it by installing some lifters in the back that took care of the problem. It´s also narrower in the front when compared to the Seaeagle. The Seaegle is basically an excellent fishing platform whereas the Saturn seems more apt to be on the go. If you're limited in your outboard selection and will use a smaller rather than larger outboard, then I'd think the Saturn might be a better fit. My ideal use of the Seaeagle (12.6) is with a 20-25 HP outboard. It's my thinking (no scientific data to back it up)that the Saturn might do better with something smaller, like a 10-15 HP, only because it's got a much higher keel than the Seaeagle (the 12' model).

I live in the desert where summer heat is quite an issue and the gray color is better for the area where I use it. On the sea or large lakes, the red colored Saturn is much more visible in case of an emergency.

The aluminum seaeagle seats are an improvement from what the Saturn has in the way they attach to the boat.

Whichever you get, get the wheels, they´re great. You assemble the boat wherever it's convenient and then go launch wherever, don't need a ramp. While using, you can either lift the tires or get them off altogether. Even if your party is more than one adult, highly recommended.
