Kathy, I am not sure about all that. I am not even sure if that is TJ. Here is what I am sure of: I was in California early this Spring. A girl gave me this picture and a Bible. After the war, in 1969, I went out to California, to the bay area. I wanted to go to college, chase those sunshine girls and shake out the snakes. There were thousands of us returning veterans, and California opened her arms and took us all in. We didn't go for trouble; we had already had trouble. We went to make all those songs we had heard, come true. Those were glory days. We went to college, drew the GI Bill and worked whatever kind of jobs we could find. We lived in the old houses scattered among the orchards. We were serious students and the girls found us facisinating. I know I couldn't stop grinning. We lived the dream. The dream we had talked about in the dark in Vietnam. Life is good.
