whats the point in voting as the town council has no power what so ever

The powers of the Town Council are, it's true, very limited but that should not deter people from voting. It is a part of our democracy however small and they can at least put our town's views to WODC.
Whether WODC take any notice is very debatable. Indeed whether WODC is democratic given that any elected member who does not toe the party line and just rubber stamps Cabinet decisions is ostracised.
Any opportunity that arises to "needle" WODC should be seized upon by the Town Council just to remind them that Chipping Norton is every bit as important as everywhere else in the district.
