Please can someone help me. I'm a little confused as I've seen some Chippy phone numbers recently that seem to start with a 4. I thought they started with a 6. Are these new numbers for our area?
My friend moved 2 years ago and her number starts with a 4
I should imagine the range of numbers starting with 6 have all been used.
hence a new starting number.
The only 01608 numbers that I've seen where the first figure is 4, are the Phone Co-ops helplines, which are now 01608 434000(Customer Service), 01608 434006 (Membership), etc. I presume the 43xxxx series is being used because there are few, if any, available nombers, left in the 6xxxxx series now.
