Re: Overton Tremper

I have an Arnold Tremper from Youngsville, NY who married my Mothers Sister, Clara Lacey. He died 5-6 years ago at the age of about 75. I don't know much about his ancestors but I do know they were in the same area from the early 1900's. My sister knows more about them because she married someone who was related to the Trempers of that area.

The Overtons were from the Livingston Manor, NY area as early as the mid-1800's and as far as I know had no connection to the Trempers.

I am researching Overton Tremper. Somewhere on the Van Aken web site I found a family tree which includes both the surnames TREMPER and OVERTON.

Does anyone have any information about an Overton Tremper who was a professional baseball player in NY-- he played for the Dodgers in the 1920's for a short time, I believe.

Any help would be appreciated. I am descended from the Tremper clan of NY.

Thanks,
