Greetings Tauren Thunder and Mistrunner Tribe. Ayam the leader of the Mistrunner Tribe approached me yesterday and asked me about merging our tribes. He is going back to college, and will not have time to lead his guild in the way he feels they deserve. I respect his decision and am deeply honored that Tauren Thunder has a reputation that precedes us and shows we are cool gamers. Ayam and I have kept in touch since I met him at least a month ago and I believe he and I are similar in our gaming styles and personalities IC and OOC. He and I have agreed that if the Mistrunner tribe wishes to join Tauren Thunder they are more than welcome to. I hope they will come to love it here as I have.

Ayam has expressed to me that some of his guild do not role play much, and I also informed him that some of us don’t either. He suggested that I set up an OOC channel to make it easier for those of us that are new to role playing and also for those of us that don’t.

The TaurenThunderOOC channel is optional, but I encourage everyone to join it. This channel is to be used for communicating game related information and falls under the rules for chat as outlined in the edicts section of the web site. If the topic becomes something not WoW related it will be allowed as long as it follows the chat rules. Please be aware that we do have people from other countries in our tribe and language barriers do exist. If anyone has any trouble understanding someone please do not be afraid to or hesitate to tell them.

Tauren Thunder has a strict set of rules we call edicts. These edicts dictate how people should behave in the guild and to other players outside the guild. Some of these edicts have been written because of the style of role play we have chosen to play as a religious (Earthmother) guild and also Tauren culture. These edicts are also in place because they show the kind of people we wish to game with i.e. no ganking, or griefing etc etc…. If anyone has any questions, comments, suggestions regarding the edicts or any other portion of the site please ask or let me know.
I hope that the edicts of Tauren Thunder will not interfere with how you wish to play your character. If you are not a role player that is fine, I do however expect everyone to uphold the edicts and behave appropriately. We make our society what it is, whether it is a virtual one or the real one. Our choices and actions dictate who we are and what we believe, and because we feel that by doing, or not doing, these things we will make this virtual community better we have written these edicts.

All members of the Mistrunner Tribe that were above initiate in rank will be given the title of Path Walker in Tauren Thunder and therefore be full members. If they wish to advance in rank they are as welcome as anyone else. The ranking structure and rites of ascension are all on the site. We will require everyone to go through the same process even if they do not role play normally.

If the role play of Tauren Thunder does not fit with your character I see that as a challenge not an obstacle, and as such I encourage everyone to try to role play this and have a great time. I think we should have a powwow and have everyone meet and have a great party. I will be asking around for a good date, possibly next Sat as this Sat would be too short notice.
