Civil War and Military History Apprenticeship Opportunity

Do you know a high school student that is enthusiastic about history?
The Institute for Educational Advancement’s Apprenticeship Program is proud to announce two new history based sites in Pennsylvania. The Apprenticeship program is a three week residential summer program that provides gifted high school students with the opportunity to work in real-life professional environments with experienced and respected mentors in history, design, and science. Working as Apprentices, students reside on a college campus and experience a taste of life at a college or university. Within this program, the Apprentice will conduct research on a topic in the history of the U.S. Army to be used in a public history format. This may include such wars as the French, Indian, or Civil war, in addition to some component of the Military Heritage Trail. Students will have the opportunity to look at and identify artifacts from various wars at both Dickinson College and the USA Heritage and Education Center. This program is for high school students only. Please visit our website for more information. www.educationaladvancement.org
