Who Lost a Flag at Westport?

The 3rd Iowa Cavalry participated in Pleasonton's attack across Big Blue River during the battle of Westport and reported capturing a Confederate flag. Freeman's and Clark's Brigades defended the position so the flag had to come from one of those two brigades. Does anyone know which regiment lost the flag?

Re: Who Lost a Flag at Westport?

Bryce,

I did not have this flag in my listing of flags taken by the 3rd Iowa Cavalry - only those taken in Wilson's Raid at Columbus, GA.

Thanks for posting this - let me see what I can find.
