LITTLE ROCK, AR – The Old State House Museum will host its 2nd annual Civil War seminar, “As Much as Humanity Can Stand”: The 140th Anniversary of the Little Rock Campaign, Saturday, August 23, 2003, from 9:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Registration is required to attend; the cost for registration is $15, and includes lunch. Call 501.324.8641 to register before August 15.

"Since this year marks the 140th anniversary of the Union campaign to capture Little Rock, we wanted to explore some of the military, political, social and medical aspects of Arkansas in 1863."

The seminar will include addresses by authors and historians of the Civil War in Arkansas. Speakers include:
• Mark Christ, Arkansas Historic Preservation Program,
• Michael Dougan, Arkansas State University,
