Frank M. Suiter, 2nd Iowa Infantry

Searching for letters, journals, and other personal documents referencing the life and military service of Frank M. Suiter. He began his military service as a sergeant in Company B of the Second Iowa Infantry. The regiment distinguished itself in the battles at Fort Donelson, Shiloh and Corinth. In the fighting at Corinth, Mississippi, on October 3-4, 1862, Suiter suffered two wounds.
