My rescue team purchased a 2-man Zodiac. We inflated it once at the store, once with our team, and then I returned it to the store to have the lettering applied. We just inflated it again, and there's a bulge above where the lettering was applied. What could cause this, and is it repairable or should I demand a replacement? This boat has not seen water yet. I want an independent opinion before I go back to the store. Thanks in advance.
I believe they used an etcher prior to attaching your lettering. By etcher, i mean "caustic cleanser" as in Xylene / Toluol / MEK ...and i think it deteriorated the structural integrity of that area of the craft. I'd be unhappy. HTH
