I am considering purchasing my first inflatable boat (probably 11 ft or less, perhaps 14 ft?). Can these be transported on top of a car to avoid assembling it when going out for a quick trip to the lake?

I put mine (12 ft Zodiac) on top of my truck all the time. I have a extended cab s-10 with a cap on it. Just make sure you have the plug out in case it rains! I forgot and ended up with a boat full of water once. I put the motor in the back of my truck.
Don't want all that stress on my transom.
