My hearing isn't so good these days, but the only places where I really have a hard time are in rooms with lots of noise. So I'm suggesting two things to accommodate hearing loss of probably many of us.
(1) Ask the DJ to turn the music down a fair amount. Those who will be dancing can hear, and those trying to converse can hear each other. Hopefully!
(2) Use rectangular rather than round banquet tables. It's been years since I could hear across a round banquet table, and I may not be the only one. If rectangular works, maybe the centerpieces could be swapped for lots of candles.
Suanna responded to my FB page that neither of the final venues has anything but round tables. She also says the music hopefully won't be cranked up until the dancing starts. Thanks, committee!
