I am a second year medical student at University of Texas Medical School. I was researching Burkitt's Lymphoma, when I ran into your site and was mesmorized by your detail of the fight of Bobby and your family with this disease.

It is sometimes difficult for doctors and future doctors to fully comprehend the emotional side of the patient. I rotated at MD Anderson Cancer Center and met many families with similar stories to you all, and I can say that very often I felt sincere empathy for them, but that was only in the room and for a few minutes after leaving. In this instance, I guess written words can be an overwhelmingly powerful form of communication, because this is the first time I have seen a tear come from my eye even after all the turmoil and triumph in the face of cancer I have seen.

My heart goes out to each and every person who was touched by this beautiful boy who was obviously taken too soon.
Right now, I myself just received a message from my best friend that she was diagnosed with this cancer. I was looking for answers, for something...what I have found is strength from reading Bobby's story.
Thank you Bobby...thank you to the family...for allowing his memory to live on and to guide people like me and my best friend and her family who are now walking through this terrible journey...

I had NO idea that Bobby had passed. Wow ... I am in disbelief that I was not informed. I went to school with Bobby from elementary school, middle, to highschool.
