Hi Jenny, I finished reading your book yesterday and still feel very much touched by Kate’s story. We our self are proud owners of two amazing cattle dogs. I wonder if it is possible to help from Germany. We do have different law and also a different understanding for dogs then the more south states, as it possibly is in the US. We do not have, for example any kill shelters here. There is a large interest in the breed of cattle dogs here, cause they are still very seldom. I wonder if we may help find some final homes for any of your rescued dogs. We are already trained in finding flight partners for dogs coming from Spain. So let me know, if you do have any interest in bringing you rescues to Germany. Best Regards Hans Kapp |

Jenny, I just finished reading your book. It gave me cause to reflect back on each and every animal that has ever touched my life. Thank you for sharing Kate's story and most of all, thank you and all the kind souls from all areas of the country that came to help us after Katrina. And as is said in the emergency rescue circles - I hope I never get to meet you becuase that will mean animals are in harms way again but if I do, I will consider you a friend. Thank you for all you do and all you touch, God Bless. |

My rescued ACD and I survived Katrina together. I think that made our relationship even stronger. We stuck together in those hot, awful conditions. I just read your book and wanted to thank you for all the work you do for this amazing breed of dogs. You are a generous, caring person and Kate is lucky to have met you! |

Talk abt typos! That was supp to be fifty bucks a pup from their little cash cowdogs and then THOSE pups grew up to be monsters. But hope you figured that out. It wouldn't let me put a dollar sign or numbers in my post. |

Hi Jenny Karen L-D told me to say hi to you. I love Kate's story! In 1990 I rescued my first ACD at a small shelter here, which started The ACD Rescue of MI, one of the first breed rescues (non-greyhound) in the US. I did ACD Rescue (mostly from shelters) until March 2004, when I got my 'normal' life back (ha ha). Doing breed rescue changes you for life! In that time, I fostered between 200-300 ACDs (lost count) and had only one other main rescuer on board, she got one of her foster people to start another MI rescue group up north, now there are *TWO* Michigan ACD Rescues! And we needed them. We have a lot of farmer breeders who think it's great to make $50 a pup at horse auctions from their little cash cowdogs. But we also helped shelters all over from Texas to NY. And some from Louisiana. We learned a lot about heartworm from those dogs. Then the pups grow up to be monsters....you know the drill. Anyway, contact me anytime. Love to know more about you. |

Hi Jenny. I acutally met you in line at the Pet Co in Maplewood, MN last weekend. I still find it so ironic that we met being we are both ACD lovers and both belong to different rescues. I read your story this evening and am still crying. What a touching story. You are truly a wonderful person. God bless Kate and everything you did for her. I am sure Kate is nipping at all of her cows in ACD heaven. |

I really enjoyed your story of Kate. How wonderful that you both were lucky enough to find each other. I have only learned of ACDs in the last few years and love them. I hope to have one someday when I am able. Right now I have 2 Whippets. Thanks for helping with ACD rescue efforts. All best, Jennifer |
